Dena Milner

Dena Milner

Dena is a native of Cherokee County. She had the privilege of attending Clayton Elementary School, as well as Cherokee High School here in Canton.Dena is one of Thompson, Meier & King's most experienced paralegals. In 1984, Dena began her legal career as a secretary for the Canton law firm McVay & Stubbs. In May, 1988, she received a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Kennesaw State College. After spending six years with McVay & Stubbs, Dena continued her career at the Atlanta firm of Hunton & Williams. In 1995, Dena took a position at LaRoche Industries, Inc. She was a legal assistant to not only corporate and general counsel, but to the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Presidents as well. In 1998, Dena decided to move her career back home, and since that time, has remained an integral part of Thompson, Meier & King.

Belinda Harrison

Belinda Harrison

Belinda Harrison grew up in Monroe, Georgia. She graduated from George Walton Academy. After obtaining her Batchelor of Science Degree in Business Education in 1981 from the University of Georgia, she taught Adult Education Classes until she began her legal career in 1982 as a legal secretary with the Law Office of C. Randall Roberts in Monroe, Georgia. In 1988 she relocated to Forsyth County to the former home of her grandparents and was employed by the Law Office of Donald J. Snell in Canton. During her full time employment with the Law Office of Donald J. Snell, she received her Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Kennesaw State College in December of 1994. She continued her career with the Law Office of Donald J. Snell until the firm closed in March 2000. From March to July 2000, she was a paralegal with the Law Office of Daniel Mason in Canton. She has proudly been a paralegal for Thompson, Meier & King, P.C. since August of 2000.

Jamie Tatum

Jamie Tatum

Jamie is a native of Cherokee County. She was raised in the Macedonia community and graduated from Cherokee High School.

Jamie has extensive experience working for our local banks. For eighteen years, she has been a friendly face in banks around Cherokee County. She got her start with Etowah Bank in downtown Canton. She continued her banking career at the Regions Bank in Ball Ground, as well as the United Community Bank in Ball Ground. Jamie also spent ten years working for Cotton States Insurance Company in Atlanta.

Cindy Bryant

Cindy Bryant

Cindy Bryant joined our firm in 2013 and is part of our estate and long term care planning team. She received her paralegal certification through The University of Georgia in 2014. Prior to joining our firm, Cindy took a few years off to enjoy her family after a 25 year career in the automobile insurance industry. Of those 25 years, she spent ten years as a manager in the customer service/underwriting department of Omni Insurance Group, an Atlanta based specialty automobile insurance company. She then worked as a process improvement manager and a senior product consultant when Omni Insurance was acquired by The Hartford.

Cindy is married to Jerry and they are the parents of two sons, Adam and Austin. Adam and his wife, Erika, have blessed Cindy and Jerry with two awesome grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brody. Cindy and her husband have recently relocated from Canton to Pickens County.

Melody Cook

Melody Cook

Melody is a native of Cherokee County and a graduate of Cherokee High School. She and her family live in the Macedonia community.

Melody began her working career as a legal secretary for the Superior Court of the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, working for two Superior Court judges. She continued her legal career as a secretary in the law firm of Jane Kent Plaginos in Cumming, Georgia.

Kristie Finney

Kristie Finney

Kristie is native of Floyd County. She grew up in Rome, Georgia and graduated from Berry College in 1995 with a degree in Psychology. In 1997 she married her high school sweetheart, David, and they relocated to Jasper. She was employed through Georgia Highlands in Jasper for 3 years working in a geriatric day treatment program. Kristie has 3 beautiful children and was blessed to have been a stay-at-home mom for 14 years. During the years she was at home, her husband started his printing business, Clockwork Print. She worked at home for him doing bookkeeping and billing for the business. In 2011, her husband became the director of a volunteer soccer program called Mountain City Soccer in Jasper. Kristie is very involved in many aspects of the club and can be found on the weekends cheering on her children from the sideline who all play soccer for the club. In 2014 Kristie joined Thompson, Meier & King and is very excited to be out in the workforce again. She is a people person who enjoys helping others. In her free time, she enjoys running, group fitness classes and spending time with her family and friends.

Katie Crockett

Katie Crockett

Prior to entering the legal field, Katie was the Office Manager for a local residential and commercial energy conservation company, and worked with a national bank. Katie began her legal career as a legal assistant in 2001 with a family law firm in Marietta. Katie joined the Law Firm of Cynthia L. Patton in 2007 and managed the office, provided paralegal and supervisory services throughout her tenure. Katie joined Thompson, Meier & King in 2017. Outside of the office, Katie enjoys spending time family and friends, her dogs, gardening and various arts and craft projects.

Sandra Homiller

Sandra Homiller

Sandra joined the Thompson, Meier & King family in 2016 as an administrative assistant. Helping clients and staff is priority in her life. She has lived in northern Georgia since 1980 and attended Johnson High School in Gainesville. Sandra holds a designation as a member in the Society of Physics Students National Honor Society and a Bachelor of Science degree in physics with a math minor from North Georgia College (now UNG). She became a published researcher and earned her Master of Science degree in medical radiation physics while at Georgia Tech. After working in medical physics for several years Sandra became a stay-at- home mom. She is proud of her three sons: one in middle school, one in high school, and one attending KSU. They are active in scouts, music and computer clubs. Later, Sandra worked in customer service at United Community Bank and also taught science classes and labs for Georgia Highlands College for several years. Sandra is a science and history buff and is a member of the Ball Ground Lions Club and the Ball Ground Garden Club. Her other interests include sewing, photography, hiking, nature studies, word puzzles, and working in local music and children’s ministries.
